I'd like to see this, it would probably make more people interested in buying req10+ weapons(imagine an even bigger fellblade).

It would be alright for some weapons (Axe, Sword, Hammer, Scythe) but not all. I don't think giant Daggers would be good, and Bows and Spears are proportional as it is, making them bigger makes them seem wrong.
I do laugh at all the discussion about weapon requirement when this thread is not about that. Discuss req 7 versus req 13 in the appropriate place.

as for the op, /notsigned higher req should make em bigger. just add some massive sized new skins. so we can all look like inuyasha or final fantasy. I dont care I play a sin and use daggers or a bow. But a big ass massive doom dealing axe of doomyness would be cool.

Not happy with weapon size being related to skill but I would welcome a new class of weapons for GW2 which might need more skill to use.
Call them exotic weapons, the reason being there are many historical weapons that don't fit into the normal weapon classes.
Usually they are more cumbersome or unbalanced thus needing more skill or at least very different training.
This could include polearms which while not that exotic are not in GW as yet Scythes and Hammers being the nearest gw equivalent.
I am thinking of the oriental chain weapons like the kusarigama or the indian Madu "shield with 2 blades" and the european flails and so on.
The Abbisinian Shotel is another example it being a heavily curved sword designed to attack over and around shields.
Probably they will remain a dream but they would be fun to fight with and against.

What if I like my swords small? :P I don't want to design my build around looks, so a better way to do this would be to just have weapons drop in different sizes!

For Strenght requirements maybe, but for others like bows daggers it do not make much sense.
Maybe for GW2, if they change they way weapon requirements work, but not for GW1.

it would not make it more realistic because even though it is bigger, it still wouldnt do any extra dmg
no need to fix there is nothing wrong

Well, mostly I was just talking about weapons you actually want to do any sort of damage with, but then again, it does depend on the build. Still, all weapon requirements are functionally identical. Meet them, or gtfo.

Not to play on the old cliché here.....but bigger isnt better
For example your average Foil...why would you want that bigger? surly you want it nimble and light....

Make Shiro's blades bigger than they already are >=D
Joking.
It would be too much work for anet to rescale all the weapons.

Pretty pointless. Weapon size/looks should have nothing to do with stats.

How exactly would making them bigger, make it "more realistic"?
There are already some big weapons ingame. I'm not fond of using them because they are what I'd consider to be too big. Making them bigger will make GW more like japanime, which is something I'd rather avoid.
If you want a larger weapon, simply choose a skin that is naturally larger.
